I went to the University of Central Florida to earn my bachelor's degree in anthropology, and then attended Walden University for my graduate degree in reading and literacy. I'm certified to teach in the state of Florida, with a certificate at the graduate level in elementary school education. I've had the chance to work with special needs students and ESL students, and I believe that every student can learn with the right support and guidance. I introduce discipline when necessary, but I'm more interested in getting students engaged. I use a positive and laid-back approach with my students, which helps students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my children.
